Wilhelmina was convicted on:
Two child-endangerment/abuse-related counts tied to documented cold-water incidents.
One unlawful confinement count covering repeated locked-room conduct under the charged theory.
A document-misuse count involving the false child emergency authorization.
She was acquitted on one broader charge alleging a more severe pattern of physical cruelty.
Why?
The jury found the conduct serious but not proven to meet the higher statutory threshold on every alleged incident.
Mixed.
No conviction for property fraud.
That remained civil.
No conviction for attempting to steal Greyhaven.
Because she could not steal it by the mechanism people imagined.
Then Wilhelmina stared at me.
No tears.
Her lawyer touched her arm.
She left under conditions pending sentencing.
Amity was at school.
