Chapter 9 - The missing appendix

The 2022 Continuity Restatement had eight schedules.

Northstar’s official copy contained all eight.

The version Genevieve produced in her succession packet contained seven.

Missing:

Schedule F — Prior family designations superseded and waived.

Schedule F listed:

2018 mentorship list.

2019 draft stewardship memoranda.

Any informal branch priority.

Any “first family designee” language not separately reaffirmed after January 1, 2022.

Then signatures.

Mine.

Genevieve’s.

Independent trustee’s.

Two outside directors.

Adrian had witnessed Genevieve’s signature.

There was no plausible argument she had never seen it.

She had literally signed the page before the missing schedule.

Why omit Schedule F?

Genevieve’s new lawyer said:

“Administrative assembly error.”

Then metadata.

Her assistant assembled the packet from a folder Genevieve personally created.

Folder name:

Benedict leverage

That was unhelpful.

Then email.

Genevieve to Adrian:

Do not include F. It kills the story before we get him to the table.

Adrian:

Then the packet isn’t complete.

Genevieve:

It’s complete for the issue we’re presenting.

Adrian:

That’s not how completeness works.

There.

Then disputed Stewardship Designation.

Adrian admitted it was not a genuine 2019 executed original.

But the truth was stranger than simple forgery.

Dominic had signed a blank signature page connected to a different governance memo during a long document-signing session.

Common but poor practice.

The signature page was later scanned in family-office files.

After Dominic died, Genevieve found the unsigned 2019 draft naming Felix as a possible leadership candidate.

She told Adrian:

“Dad meant this.”

Adrian created a clean combined document.

He attached the genuine scanned signature page.

He inserted Marjorie Bell’s witness signature from another administrative form.

Then notarized/certified the compilation years later as a “reconstructed original.”

Was Dominic’s signature real?

The image was genuinely his.

Was the document he supposedly signed real?

No.

That distinction mattered.

Then Genevieve.

Did she order the reconstruction?

Yes.

Did she understand copied signatures were being attached?

Adrian said yes.

Could he prove?

Emails.

One:

Use Dad’s clean signature page. The one from the 2019 closing binder.

There.

No serious ambiguity left.

Then why not reveal at Chapter 9? We still need central secret at Ch10; here we can show missing appendix and hint, but full motive and Felix account link in Ch10.

Avery said:

“We have enough to invalidate the succession claim.”

I asked:

“Enough to prove what she was doing with Felix’s money?”

“Not yet.”

Then Adrian’s accountant produced one more ledger.

That answered the rest.
