Chapter 19 - THE PROTECTIVE ORDER

Julia and I jointly requested protection for Sophie.

That mattered.

No father unilaterally weaponizing the court.

No mother treated as secondary.

The order against Celeste:

No direct contact with Sophie.

No approaching school, medical appointments, or our residences.

No third-party discipline.

No sending gifts/messages except through counsel and only if approved.

The order against Vittorio:

No direct contact.

No directing relatives, staff, or security concerning Sophie.

No entry to Sophie’s private residential areas.

No attendance at events where Sophie would be present unless modified by agreement/court.

Time-limited.

Reviewable.

Not permanent exile.

My father’s lawyer argued:

“Vittorio never touched the child.”

True.

Our attorney answered:

“He directed a coercive physical confrontation and then claimed authorship.”

The judge agreed enough for temporary relief.

No dramatic declaration that he had lost “grandparent rights.”

There was no automatic right to override parents.

Simple.
